The Queensland Distribution Centre (QDC) has an opportunity for an energetic and committed individual to support a team of warehouse associates as a Team Lead. The successful Associate will be responsible for supporting the Warehouse Coach/s to execute daily warehouse activities by engaging employees in their relevant process areas. **PRIMARY DUTIES (include, but are not limited to):** + Proactively promote, monitor and improve safety within all areas of QDC + Promote and demonstrate behaviour in line with Caterpillar’s Values in Action - Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork and Sustainability. + Drive continuous improvement and quality expectations. + Work to initiate and conduct Process Improvement Dialogues (PIDs) + Facilitate Safety Improvement Dialogues (SIDs) + Evaluate waste or imbalance and adjust workflows accordingly, including delegation and scheduling of work tasks + Collect data and update metric boards, monitoring People, Quality, Velocity & Cost (PQVC) performance, providing the Warehouse Coach/s with regular updates + Train and develop employees on all processes, safe job procedures (SJP’s) and standard work + Promote strong collaboration and partnerships within all process areas + Work closely with your Coach to identify skills gaps and develop your own Individual Learning Plan (ILP) To be successful in this position, you must possess the following: + Strong commitment and focus on Safety & Quality. + Strong Systems based Knowledge of SAP + Passionate about leading, motivating, engaging and mentoring people + Excellent communication skills, including active listening skills with the ability to liaise effectively with warehouse employees and QDC Leaders. + Willing to take initiative, act decisively and proactively to remedy situations + Strong understanding of Stock Record Accuracy practices and Continuous Improvement + Previous experience leading a team will be highly regarded **Posting Dates:** January 14, 2025 - January 30, 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
