Location: Lilongwe

Reporting to: Leaf Processing Director

Role: Permanent

 

Purpose

This position is responsible for leading the implementation, management and performance of leaf processing shift plans by modelling a positive culture to achieve key performance indicators.

 

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring the processing plan is executed and the specified processing targets (safety, quality, yield, productivity) are met in every shift. Enforcing contamination elimination and NTRM prevention measures. Ensuring that processes for tobacco accountability and traceability are fully carried out. Maintain a work environment that prioritizes personal health and safety.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelors Degree in of Science/Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years experience in tobacco processing industry. Good knowledge of tobacco packing specifications, machine configuration and settings Excellent leadership, planning, prioritization skills and analytical skills.
