We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a **Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt in Morton, IL.**
The **Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)** is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

**Job Summary:**
+ The Morton Distribution Center is hiring a **Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt** to lead projects to support operational processes to improve Safety, People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics. This position coaches and manages projects and teams related to process transformations using Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management methodologies to achieve business goals. This position will run several projects across our value streams.

+ This role is in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation
+ This role is 1st shift
+ This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
+ This role may need to flex their schedule across shifts when needed
+ This role may require up to 10% domestic travel
**What You Will Do:**
+ Collaborate closely with Operations teams and supporting organizations to drive process improvement by diagnosing complex business problems and providing recommended changes to deliver positive results through LEAN implementations.
+ Manage multi-generational project plans, ensuring they are updated and revised regularly.
+ Use 6 Sigma and project management methodologies to execute LEAN process transformations.
+ Lead, coach, teach and develop others to use LEAN tools and methodologies to drive sustainable continuous improvement.
+ Plan and execute Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) and Kaizen events.
**What You Have (Required Skills):**
+ **Influencing** : Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
+ **Process Improvement** : Understanding and insight into evaluating current process quality and operational processes and the ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
+ **Six Sigma Methodology** : Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve our logistics processes, and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.
+ **Project Management** : Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve project objectives.
**What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Previous Supervisory Experience
+ Previous experience (2+years) supporting lean continuous improvement
+ Prior experience with Lean and 6 Sigma tools
+ Effective Communication skills
+ Ability to flex their schedule across shifts (if needed)
+ Strong Analytical thinking and Influencing skills
**Summary Pay Range:**
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
