Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Description** Lean Center of Excellence is seeking a Lean 6 Sigma Master Blackbelt focused on improvements in central Illinois Operations facilities. **Job Duties** + Support one or more value stream transformation projects to bring measurable improvement to key business metrics **Responsibilities** + Planning, developing, initiating, and monitoring lean projects across multiple functions to improve productivity; communicating on results and accomplishments. + Training and mentoring employees; educating personnel on Lean methodology and identifying the best projects for implementation. **What skills you will have with proficiency:** + **Process Improvement – Extensive Experience** : Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services. + **Coaching Others – Extensive Experience** : Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness. + **Influencing – Working Knowledge:** Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside the organization. + **Analytical Thinking – Extensive Experience** : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. **Education and Experience Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience + Experience in leading or directly supporting improvements in factories + Extensive professional experience + Team leadership experience **Top Candidates will also have:** + 6 Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt experience + Supervisory experience + Master’s degree in engineering or business administration + Experience with multiple NPI programs + Experience in multiple business units or component teams + Subject matter expertise in Lean, Built in Quality, Value Stream Transformation **Additional Information:** The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL, Decatur, IL, or Lafayette, IN Domestic relocation assistance is available Based upon work location – Travel can range from 25% to 50%, primarily domestic Sponsorship is **not** available **This posting will close at midnight on 11/6/24** **What you will get:** Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
