Role Overview The Lean Manager will lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across TAVS and Additive businesses using the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (SQDIP) are met. The practitioner will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement lean methodologies, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. **Job Description** **Key Responsibilities** + Lead the deployment and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across various departments and teams. + Conduct value stream mapping, identify waste, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. + Facilitate kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions to educate and engage employees in lean principles and practices. + Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in operations. + Utilize lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, and root cause analysis to drive problem-solving and process optimization. + Collaborate with leadership to align lean initiatives with business goals and objectives. + Mentor and coach team members to build lean capabilities and sustain a culture of continuous improvement. + Ensure all lean activities prioritize safety and comply with regulatory and company standards. **Required Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university _and_ a minimum of 3 years of lean, engineering, or continuous improvement experience. + **OR** a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in lean, engineering, or continuous improvement roles experience). **Preferred Qualifications** + Master's degree in Engineering or Business + 2+ years of experience in lean, engineering, or continuous improvement roles within the aerospace industry + Proven track record of leading successful lean initiatives and driving measurable improvements. + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex processes. + Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. + Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. + Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​ + Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​ + Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed ​ + Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative​ + Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker Healthcare benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; access to a Health Coach, a 24/7 nurse-based resource; and access to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling, and referral services.
