As the Lean Manufacturing Implementation Expert, you will play a critical role in driving lean methodologies and practices across the production floor, warehouse, logistics, and various business processes. You will work with various members of the leadership team to institutionalize continuous improvement (CI) practices within the entire organization.

This position will represent Operations in the GO Lean team and execute on global programs appropriately as well as share best practices within the entire global operations network. This position will focus on training employees, implementing lean principles, enhancing operational efficiency, and realizing cost reductions. This role demands a proactive influencer who can inspire a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

The Opportunity

Strategic Lean Implementation Responsibilities (70%)

Develops and executes continuous improvement strategy for the Global Operations team

Develops and implements internal KPI’s, identifies areas of improvement to meet & exceed performance

Supports Operations Leadership Team for developing & executing the long term strategy

Develops and executes training programs in Lean, Six Sigma, DQM and other process efficiency improvement tools. Utilizes standardized CI tools developed by Global Operations (GO) Lean team & other sources of subject matter expertise

Act as a change agent and drive a culture of continuous improvement by actively demonstrating the use of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.

Develop and implement Leadership Standard Work (LSW) and designing standard work/best practices through their area(s) of responsibility.

Trains and develops subject matter expertise within Operations and develop a group of CI practitioners

Acts as a change agent, effectively communicates to all levels of the organization to get buy-in and institutionalizes CI practices

Implement lean methodologies to optimize the end-to-end manufacturing process including production, business processes, warehouse layout, inventory management, order fulfillment processes, transportation, shipping, and receiving to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Business Objectives (30%)

Works with finance controller to develop productivity goals and executes appropriate projects to achieve overall cost savings targets

Identification, development, and successful completion of lean projects to reduce costs, improve quality and improve process efficiencies that deliver value to the business.

Partners with the Design Transfer team to support execution of DQM tools and methodology for new product transfer as well as in established processes for manufacturing

Works closely with the Process Engineering & Automation Maintenance and Support team to develop and execute OEE (Optimal Equipment Efficiency) target for various processes and look for areas of improvements

Utilize data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and analyze efficiency within production, warehousing, and logistics.

Document lean processes, changes, and improvements meticulously & prepare and present reports on lean initiatives, efficiency gains, and cost savings to senior management. Utilize visual management tools to communicate progress and outcomes effectively.

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor's Degree - Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management

You have 10+ years demonstrated experience with increasing responsibility in developing and implementing successful continuous improvement programs

You have Six Sigma, Lean Leader, and Project Management Training

You have a Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Preferred:

You have experience in a regulated industry developing and implementing process improvements preferred

MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of process improvement philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.

Ability to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative and statistical methods across various business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.

Proficiency in fostering teamwork and collaborative problem solving within and across multiple areas of the organization.

Demonstrated application of lean tools and techniques, such as 6S, Kaizen, Value Stream & Process Mapping, and Kanban in a manufacturing environment.

Strong presentation, organizational planning, analytical, project management, and problem-solving/root cause analysis skills.

Ability to train others in continuous process improvement, effectively influence, and achieve targeted results without authority.

Proficiency in interacting professionally with all levels of staff and leadership, and available for on-call duty for after-hours emergencies; may require wearing and working in personal protective equipment and working extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, Arizona is 118,400.00 - 220,000.00 USD Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
