Position Overview:
As a Lean Manufacturing Professional, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the production roadmap for the next 3-5 years. You will drive and support all Lean activities at our Lexington, NC train coach manufacturing location. This role involves interfacing with the corporate Continuous Improvement (CI) group to apply techniques and standards. You will also be responsible for deploying and training on subject matter and methods, as well as facilitating best practice sharing.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Continuously initiate, support, and coach Lean activities to achieve structural optimizations at the plant level. Define comprehensive standards, methods, and develop documentation. Participate in work groups and projects, facilitating meetings, workshops, and coaching for change processes and activities. Manage the assigned organizational unit, leading and coordinating dedicated management and staff.To thrive in this role, you have:
10+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience. Expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Lean Manufacturing. Comprehensive professional knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques, with the ability to systematically apply this know-how to solve complex problems. Certification as a Lean Manufacturing Expert (or similar) and/or extensive training and experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams, navigate conflict, and implement change effectively.Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $130,600 - $153,600. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary.
