Resposabilities:
• Team up annually with key leaders and align all functions towards a lean roadmap using Value Stream Mapping
• Manage the kaizen calendar and 30/60/90 sustainment to achieve set goals
• Organize and / or Lead impactful, cross functional kaizens to understand and meet ever changing business needs
• Train and mentor Lean concepts to employees throughout the organization
• Serve as a main point for any improvement activity in the plant and be recognized as a visible champion and expert
• Monitor/initiate corrective actions to hit budget and operational targets
• Make improvements to solutions of problems within an area
• Scheduling and solving of work conflicts
• Pro-actively manage department budget, and resolve resource conflict
• Recommend or initiate personnel action such as disciplinary and discharge measures
Desirable characteristics:
• Gained sufficient experience to confidently train lean concepts and tools to anyone in the organization, from shop floor to senior managers
• Ability to translate lean (business) concepts and tools from Operations to other business functions (Finance, HR, Marketing, …)
• Ability to identify waste and move towards flow in any function or process
• Can read P&L and balance sheet in order to set impactful objectives
• Can navigate project challenges with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications:
For roles outside of the USA- This role requires experience in the Manufacturing & Manufacturing Engineering processes and running Lean systems. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
