Lean SS Productivity Specialist

Location: Negotiable; proximity to airport require

Linde Gas Equipment Inc. is seeking a Lean SS Productivity Specialist to join our team.

Job Purpose: Use Lean Six Sigma tools to lead, execute and track various productivity improvement projects, primarily in plant operations.

Scope: Successful candidates should demonstrate high levels of problem-solving capability with a focus on safe and efficient processes. This requires a team-oriented focus with strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to identify innovative solutions and prioritize improvements to meet business needs.

Keys to success are attention to details and time management with the ability to get things done through others without having direct personnel management responsibilities. This position works under minimal supervision and requires the ability to overcome resistance to change.

In this role, function as a resource for the application of Lean productivity tools and discipline. Achieve productivity benefit goals by implementing productivity projects. Utilize learnings and system interdependencies to improve KPIs, find cost reduction/capital project opportunities, and increase LGE profitability.

Relationships: This position reports to the Director of Productivity. Work well with stakeholders at various levels, in particular, RVPs, RPMs and Region OPS managers.This position will work closely the national operations management team supporting PEAK and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Drive project methodologies in plant operations to achieve target cost productivity goals.Facilitate project idea generation through Lean events and assessments, PEAK assessments and BOOST events. Provide training in the field on key elements of waste identification and removal.Ensure effective application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, perform data analysis on data sets and transform the data into useful information.Effective use of problem-solving tools, present findings and make recommendations to targeted plant operations.Drive results through completion of action items and projects. Track, report and conduct regular meetings to update stakeholders of the progress.Work directly with National Operations to support automation initiatives and capture productivity results from automation installations.Provide productivity support to other value streams (Distribution and Business Process).Establish a strong leadership presence with project teams.

· 5 years of packaged gas production experience, including an operations leadership role.

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

· Lean Six Sigma training.

· Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills and ability to influence required

· Knowledge of LGE business organizational structure needed.

· Must be willing to travel 50% - could be /- depending on projects.
