LEAP Controller
Job Description SummaryThe LEAP Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting activity related to LEAP engines and services. This role will serve as a key link between the LEAP Product Line Finance teams and the channel controllership structure within the Commercial Engines and Services segment. The LEAP Controller will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the implementation of effective internal controls. The Controllership Manager will collaborate across a team of accounting professionals to ensure complete, accurate and timely financial reporting, drive process improvements and support strategic financial initiatives specific to LEAP engines and services.

Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for LEAP engines and services, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Manage the preparation and review of internal management financial statements related to LEAP engines and services, including through performance of monthly financial statement analytical reviews.Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data specific to LEAP engines and services.Partner with product line and functional teams to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes for LEAP engines and services.Use FLIGHT DECK to drive process improvements and efficiencies in accounting operations, leveraging technology and best practices.Lead the controllership aspects of coordination with the CFM joint venture and Safran regarding LEAP engines and services.Coordinate and manage internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requirements.Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements and other regulatory standards.Prepare and present LEAP engines and services financial reports and analysis to senior management and other stakeholders.Support strategic financial initiatives and projects related to LEAP engines and services, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification preferred.At least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in controllership and financial reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement effective internal controls.Experience with financial systems and accounting software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsProven capability to plan and execute several projects simultaneouslyProven ability to deliver results on timeAbility to influence and drive results in a matrixed organization

Desired Characteristics
