Manage and coordinate learning, development, and education activities for PacificSource in order to improve the performance of employees and increase the efficiency and productivity of the company. Act as liaison to PacificSource managers and teams and facilitate company initiatives across the enterprise. Responsible for the creation and integration of learning and development programs and multiple associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. Responsible for working with all functional areas to assess and determine specific technical and professional training needs. Consult with departments and outside sources to evaluate classes and materials used by the company. <br>

Essential Responsibilities:

Confer with functional managers to assess technical and professional education and training needs based on company requirements and future technology changes.Lead Learning and Development initiatives, including planning, execution and project management.Act as a technical resource to support the development and implementation of company training programs.Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement strategies and training throughout the organization.Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of PacificSource.Formulate, programs, and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, and partnering with HR Business Partners.Develop training programs and courses for all employees. Conduct and evaluate in-house training programs when appropriate.Coordinate new employee orientation and Customer Connection training programs.Coordinate orientation program for team leaders and managers.Make assessments of training effectiveness in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.Identify/incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plans.Coordinate training projects and programs through planning, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.Partner with functional Trainers to monitor and review training plans and training checklists.Ensure training records are kept up-to-date and reports are submitted to managers, team leaders, and the Executive Management Group.Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs through assessments/testing.Consider appropriate instructional procedures or methods, such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, e-learning methods; computer-based training, audio and video podcasting.Oversee organization and development of training manuals, on-line reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.Ensure desired quality and cost-effectiveness of training programs. Research programs and materials, interviews instructors/consultants, and make recommendations for the most appropriate training courses.Keep informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field.Coordinate business activities by maintaining collaborative partnerships with key departments.Actively participate as a key team member in manager/supervisor meetings.In conjunction with Director of L&D, responsible for hiring, staff development, coaching, performance reviews, corrective actions, and termination of employees. Provide feedback, including regular one-on-ones and performance evaluations, for direct reports.Monitor spending versus the planned budgeted throughout the year and take corrective action where needed.Responsible for process improvement and working with other departments to improve interdepartmental processes. Utilize lean methodologies for continuous improvement. Utilize visual boards and daily huddles to monitor key performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities.

Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.Perform other duties as assigned.

SUCCESS PROFILE

Work Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing, developing and delivering training programs. Supervisory experience required. Three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.

Education, Certificates, Licenses: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Communications, Human Resources, or equivalent. Master’s degree in Learning and Development or Organizational Development preferred.

Knowledge: Accountable for the development and proper maintenance of all training programs and budget. Requires excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment. Advance skills with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required. Ability to network in the community and represent PacificSource. Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability preferred. Experience in developing learning programs with the latest technology (e.g. e-learning, podcasts etc. to deliver to multiple locations). Good organizer, meticulous in detail to develop flawless presentations. Experience in training and presenting and moderating large groups. Visionary skills to lead the organization in utilizing new technology methods for learning.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 25-40% of the time.
