Axient LLC is currently seeking a Learning and Development Specialist in Huntsville, AL.

This position will report to the SVP of Human Resources and Talent Management and be responsible for overseeing the company’s regulatory training needs, and employee professional development programs.

What you will do...

The Learning & Development Specialist will oversee the training function at the corporate level and maintain the training budget. May provide guidance to other education support staff such as instructional designers, program developers, and instructors. Will be responsible for the daily activities of L&D organization and evaluate effectiveness of training curriculums. Will conduct training courses presenting training material to employees at all levels. Will work with senior leaders and financial managers to identify and match training priorities with overall business goals. Will also work with management to ensure that training requirements and budgets are prioritized according to company objectives.  

Will consult with managers of other departments to identify both corporate and contract specific training needs. Responsible for creating or selecting course content and materials for training programs. Training may be in the form of a video, self-guided instructional manual, or online application and delivered in person or through a computer. Training also may be collaborative with employees informally connecting with experts, mentors, and colleagues often through social media or other online medium.  Work with managers to ensure that training methods, content, software, systems, and equipment are appropriate for meeting the needs and requirements of the Axient workforce.

Bachelor's degree in Education preferredMinimum of 3 years of experienceMust be capable of conducting/presenting training courses and materials to employees at all levels of the company.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsProficient in MS Office including PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.Previous work with a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred (UKG)
