Learning and Development Specialist

The Learning and Development Specialist will assist with the creation, facilitation, and/or implementation of a comprehensive suite of learning materials for all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Manager of Learning & Development to create, implement, deliver, manage and maintain a comprehensive suite of onboarding training, leadership development, and HR compliance training programs. Assist with the implementation of various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training) to meet evolving business needs. Participate in the evaluation of individual and organizational development needs. Design and facilitate e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings. Conduct training surveys to monitor effectiveness of training. Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies. Provide insight and direction on the delivery of employee development initiatives resulting from key strategic partnerships, including the implementation of certification programs and similar initiatives. Contribute to the development of the broader learning and development strategy. Keep up to date in latest thinking in blended learning solutions and use of technology and identify how to bring this knowledge to improve the L&D team. Maintain a consolidated calendar of training programs and events. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Degree in Education, Management, Organizational Development or a related field. At least 2 years’ experience in training and development, including curriculum design, development, and instruction. Certifications in various programs and tools such as DiSC, MBTI, etc. CPLP Certification preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience UKG/UltiPro LMS (Learning Management System) a plus Understand group dynamics and adult learning principles, knowledge of learning styles. Proven ability to lead active group discussions and facilitation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work well with all levels of management. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks at any given time. Enthusiastic, self-starter attitude who can work independently. Advanced computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties. Must be able to work on-site in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
