The Opportunity

The Learning Consultant is a key partner in ensuring that learning and development initiatives across the organization are aligned with business goals, effectively addressing performance gaps, and deployed at the right time. This role requires a unique ability to begin with a “yes” mindset (open to exploring the possibility of training as a solution) while rigorously evaluating if it is indeed the best course of action. The consultant must determine when training is the right answer and when alternative strategies (such as process improvements or resource optimization) are more suitable, ensuring the organization’s efforts are laser-focused on impactful solutions.

This strategic role is essential in ensuring the learning and development resources are optimized to meet the most critical business challenges. By maintaining a laser focus on identifying the right solutions, whether training or otherwise, the consultant directly impacts employee performance, operational efficiency, and long-term business success. This role elevates the quality of performance solutions and enhances decision-making across the organization.

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma + 10+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Consulting, or a related role with a strong focus on performance improvement.5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Consulting, or a related role with a strong focus on performance improvement.2+ years of experience in conducting training needs assessments, gap analysis, and performance consulting.2+ years of experience using analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.

The Ideal Qualifications

Master’s degree in Learning Theory, Organizational Development, Business Strategy, or a related field.Certification in performance consulting or coaching methodologies (e.g., ISPI, ASTD).Experience working with instructional designers to develop and deliver training programs that align with business goals.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with experience engaging with all levels of leadership.Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Previous Facilitation Experience.

Salary Range: $78,000.00-$102,400.00
