Position Summary             

The Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator is tasked with supporting Traylor Bros employees career progression and training development. They are responsible for scheduling, organizing, and supporting the delivery of training programs using our learning management system (LMS). This role involves coordinating training sessions, managing logistics, communicating with trainers and participants, and ensuring all necessary materials and resources are available. Through our LMS the L&D Coordinator also tracks training attendance, maintains records, and provides first line employee support. This position works closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of training programs.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities                                       

Administer the company Learning Management System (LMS), to include data entry, uploading and managing content, system maintenance, and customer support for employees Compliance training reporting and assignment through the LMS Assist the L&D Manager with developing and delivering training programs and supporting materials by researching, purchasing, or designing training programs Event planning and logistics that include but are not limited to the purchasing course materials, booking hotels, planning meals and effectively communicating with all parties involved Assist L&D Manager with SOP Development and continuing updates Assist L&D Manager with maintaining relationships and monitoring training and supply vendors Collect feedback from training participants and staff to assist L&D manager with tracking trends and analyzing training effectiveness Maintain knowledge of changing trends in the training and development industry and work with L&D Manager to implement changes in programs as necessary Maintain knowledge of instruction technologies by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management Minimal Travel may be required at times for meetings, site visits, training, etc.

 

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of training coordination, scheduling, and logistics to support effective training delivery Ability to assist with training needs assessments and support training event planning and evaluation Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with trainers, subject matter experts, and participants Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods Ability to work with all levels throughout the organization Ability to work well in a non-structured, entrepreneurial environment Excellent written and oral communications skills required Strong work ethic, teamwork, and adaptability Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate training records and documentation. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.  Learning Management Systems experience preferred

 

Education/Experience      

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in Learning & Development will be considered Experience administering an LMS, training schedules, and event planning is preferred

 

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and routine keyboard operations
