Our Learning and Development team focuses on fostering a culture of continuous learning and development through classes, learning experiences, and professional development opportunities for internal employees. As an Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in learning and development by working with members of our team on eLearning modules, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, program data analysis, training materials, and instructional design projects that support adult learners. You'll collaborate with internal subject matter experts, as well as spend time shadowing and supporting learning and development team members. Possible role responsibilities may include developing eLearning modules, analyzing program data and making reports and recommendations, working to make learning materials more accessible, and collaborating on onboarding programs. This Internship is a great fit for students interested in corporate learning and development, instructional design, adult education, organizational development, or related fields! TriMet's Internships are excellent opportunities to build skills, gain experience, develop connections with industry professionals and develop work samples for a portfolio. Relevant experience is useful, but most important is a willingness and excitement to learn. This Internship isperformed in-person. Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers’ experiences and of TriMet’s product and service offerings. Essential Functions 1. Various administrative functions including: tracking, managing, and supporting training within TriMet’s Learning Management System (LMS). 2. Creating and disseminating pre and post class communication documents, surveys, and general L&D marketing. 3. Providing day-to-day operational functions for the L&D team with the use of Microsoft Office Suite and the LMS. 4. Supporting training processes; suggest, document, and implement improvements. 5. Developing eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline 360. Position Requirements Be a current or upcoming Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Recent graduates within the last 12 months will also be considered. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be computer literate (strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Selection Criteria Type of Position / Grade / FLSA Non-Exempt, Non-Union, Full-Time (40 hours/week), Temporary. Internships will run May/June through August/September.
