Learning & Development & Onboarding Coordinator (Bilingual FR/EN)

SUMMARY

The Learning & Development and Onboarding Coordinator will champion and support the ongoing project in learning & development and onboarding at BGIS. The incumbent is responsible for identifying needs and making recommendations on the continuous improvements for training systems, processes, following through with development and evaluation of courses and process. This role plays an integral role in fostering the growth and development of our employees while supporting our company's commitment to innovation and technical excellence. This role involves a combination of responsibilities related to our learning platform, technical competency mapping, skill, and team-specific learning initiatives.

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning & Development:

Working through the requests that come into the different mailbox: investigations, password resets, assignment requests, new course upload creation requests, questions/queries/issues with accounts that require thorough assessments. Partners with the business on key learning initiatives and instructor led design projects as required. Collaborate on various projects and initiatives, providing support and expertise where needed. Assist in the maintenance or the various L&D platforms such as Skillsoft and our Year-end review platform (Optimizer). Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant registration and attendance, and learning outcomes + Optimizer reports as well. Managing the activities and consolidating the information required to organize a comprehensive role-based training matrix.  Upload training to Percipio. Develop and cascade communication around training programs and activities for the organization Monitor and respond to Learning & Development shared email inbox and other related questions. Provide back up support to another L&D team member, as required Other task as required

Onboarding:

Ability to diagram process flows relating to the onboarding process. Review and improve onboarding processes. Creating and modifying journeys and other onboarding constructs in Oracle HCM. Creating instructional documents and guidelines for team members to help enrich their onboarding experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

2+ years of working experience in a support function  Working knowledge of instructional design principles and concepts  Excellent presentation/ facilitation skills  Strong organizational, project management and communication skills • Comfortable communicating orally in both French and English Post-secondary education and/or professional certification Experience using virtual platforms, such as Microsoft Teams Technologically savvy.  Proficient in MS Office. (Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, online training tool Conscientious with strong attention to detail Strong analytical skills Team-oriented and flexible with the ability to work under pressure Experience in Oracle HCM or similar platforms would be considered an asset. Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint; Inter / Intranet; Adobe Acrobat, web-based tools). Proven ability to exhibit discretion in handling confidential / sensitive information.
