Overview:We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on developing and managing cross-functional training content and curriculums within the corporate compliance department, while ensuring effective internal communications across various teams within the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, critical thinker with strong business communication skills.
Responsibilities:Training Development & Delivery:
Utilizing external vendor content as well as internally developed content, design, implement, and manage annual compliance training, ongoing new hire training, and ad-hoc training needs. Collaborate with department and functional leaders to develop and refresh training content and identify audiences, against regulatory requirements and company policies. Develop training presentations for executive leadership review, including annual training post-mortem. Track and assess training effectiveness through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics to continuously improve programs. Manage the annual training roadmap, including coordination with HR and Learning.Internal Communication:
Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure consistent and effective messaging across the global organization in a succinct, engaging style. Create and distribute regular communications (e.g., newsletters, emails) to inform employees on policy updates, compliance-related information, and training activities.Project Management & Coordination:
Manage annual training planning (and new hire training curriculum refresh), schedule, and launch. Use project management tools to effectively organize, track, and deliver training and compliance related projects. Stay current with industry best practices in training and corporate communications to continually improve the effectiveness of training programs and communication strategies.Other Duties:
Perform any other related duties as assigned by management. Evaluate current and potential training and compliance vendors for ongoing needs. Attend industry-specific webinars and training to align training content with current regulations. Support the administration of the company policy library. Qualifications:Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Learning, Communication, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 3-5 years of experience in corporate training, organizational development, or communications. Proven experience in creating, testing, and delivering training content, via e-learning platforms. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), video conferencing tools, and online collaboration platforms.Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. Creative thinking and problem-solving to develop engaging and innovative training solutions. Critical thinking to question previously held assumptions and reasoning by examining, interpreting, and evaluating in order to make informed decisions. Interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Attention to detail and ability to analyze and report on training metrics. Technical proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office 365, and e-learning tools (e.g., LRN, KnowBe4, and Navex,).Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Training and Development or certificates in a related field. Experience in regulatory or corporate compliance within financial services.
