Learning Experience Designer - Hourly Onboarding, Learning & Development Global Operations (GOLD)
Description Global Operations Learning & Development - Hourly Onboarding is looking for a Learning Experience Designer to develop world-class training and modules for our Hourly Onboarding team, supporting Level 1 through Level 3 employees. In this position, you will be responsible for the design and development of learning solutions supporting multiple learning programs and products across the Hourly Onboarding portfolio. You will work on instructional design projects that utilize your expertise in learning theory and instructional technologies to enhance the performance of Amazonians. The solutions you create will enhance our Level 1 through Level 3 employee experience and provide performance support at the point of need. This includes developing solutions aligned to defined learning objectives, designing, developing, testing, and rapidly iterating instructional content for your audience, and developing knowledge and performance observation assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training. You will work on projects that utilize your expertise in learning theory, instructional technologies, and human performance technology to enhance the learning experience for worldwide. Candidates should have experience working autonomously, expertise in developing and maintaining strong business relationships, collaborating across different fields of expertise, and implementing learning project plans. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment and develop innovative solutions. Key job responsibilities • Collaborate effectively within the team and subject matter experts to understand program goals, define learning objectives, and identify learning solutions to meet their learner’s needs. • Perform needs analysis and evaluate existing content to identify the most appropriate content enhancements to support the audience and learning objectives. • Design and develop content using Instructional Design best practices that engages learners with each other and with the content through interactivity and gamification, ensuring content can be localized for deployments globally • Manage your projects amidst ambiguity, competing priorities, and challenging deadlines • Be open to feedback throughout the design process to ensure that deliverables meet the team’s high bar Basic Qualifications • BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional design, educational technology, organizational development, etc. • 2+ years of work experience successfully designing and developing interactive training content, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, assessments and print-based materials • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies including but not limited to: ADDIE model, eLearning blueprint, design thinking, and interactive learning experiences • Experience developing training content localized to multiple languages/cultures • Experience with design authoring tools, specifically Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise. • Fluency in Adobe Premier and After Effects • Experience with Vyond animation software or a similar product. • A flexible mindset and agile approach to deliverables. Ability to adopt style to engage with different stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in related field • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.) • Advanced Multimedia development in audio, video, and/or animation (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, Vyond) • Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g. gamification, remote reality, augmented reality and xAPI) Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
