IDeaS’ Internship Program provides students with real world experiences working on high visibility projects and challenging assignments. Our program facilitates opportunities to explore their field of study and make connections. Interns are a valuable part of our team – they do a lot of important work here, and occasionally have some fun.

 

As an Instructional Design Intern on the Enablement and Engagement team, you will focus on understanding the learning objectives outlined in a master design and project plan, then execute on building the necessary learning content elements to achieve those objectives.

 

What you’ll be doing...
Assisting with the development of internal training programs including exposure to a number of activities that may include:

 

o Needs analysis
o Writing objectives
o Setting evaluation metrics
o Establishing baseline measurements
o Drafting learning content
o Determining the best delivery methods
o Planning rollout communications
o Change management
o Coordinating several business functions to achieve mutual project goals

 

What you’ll bring to us…
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate (Junior or Senior status) or a master’s program in Human Resource Development, Curriculum & Instructional design or similar
• Knowledge of basic instructional design and instructional technology
• Exposure to developing learning programs
• Strong communication skills with ability to analyze and translate information to various audiences
• Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize under pressure and work independently as well as collaboratively
• Strong grasp of MS Office tools
• Experience with visual design and multimedia presentation tools (IE Adobe Creative Cloud, Prezi, graphic design)
• Demonstrated ability to present information in an engaging and concise manner
• Creative samples/portfolio will be requested/reviewed
