Reporting to Learning Operations, the full-time Learning Production Associate will provide technical production and actor-facilitation support in virtual instructor-led classrooms or simulation centers and assist with communication or learning content production assignments in support of the Administration of Children Services (ACS) Workforce Institute. Other Duties Duties and Responsibilities: In this multi-faceted role, the Learning Production Associate (LPA) is assisting in the following ways: + Serving as technical/producer support during virtual training or live simulations, + Assisting with training or communication content production or deliverables, or + Preparing and playing various roles to provide experiential learning opportunities for child welfare learners at simulation centers in various locations within the NYC five borough offices. Virtual Training Producer Support: + Serve as training support for virtual learning programs, including virtual simulations. + Assist participants and facilitators, as needed with troubleshooting issues on the learning platform and sharing accurate training materials. + In virtual simulations, serve as producer for operational procedures, including timing, creating and managing breakout groups, and monitoring chat window. + Update an Issues Log and other reports for ongoing assessment and process improvement. In-person Simulation Production Support: + Work from written procedures and sketches to set up, test, monitor, troubleshoot AV equipment before, during, and after simulation-enhanced courses. Use prop plan to confirm that furniture and props are set as planned. + Walkthrough staging and technical rehearsal with actors. Follow the camera mapping for each rotation of the simulation-enhanced course. + Verify that all AV equipment is accounted for, in working order, and perform cleaning procedures. + Inform the Program Manager of any simulation delivery issues or needed equipment repairs. Content Production Support: + Support ACS-funded learning content improvement requests (i.e. editing, translation, incorporating demos and simulations), or + Assist the Communications team with conceptualizing, producing, and delivering video and/or print content. Actor-Facilitator Support As a professional actor-facilitator, will play the primary parental role and female and/or male-presenting youth role for in-person and virtual simulation training. Other related/tangential roles may be assigned as needed. Serve as a standby actor as needed. The actor-facilitator will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and trainers to ensure that the learning experience meets organizational programmatic needs. Parental Role: + Represents various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. + Ability to portray a parent of children aged 8-15 years-old (age varies depends on program). + Understand some indicators of age-appropriate behaviors. Female and/or Male-Presenting Youth Role: + Represents various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. + Represents age range of 8 – 15. + Ability to portray varying age-appropriate behaviors and characteristics, including attitude and expression. Other + Support other assignments as needed. + Participate in community and professional development events and meetings. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree required. + Prior work experience (Minimum of 3-4 years). + ACSWI experience a plus. + Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work. + Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software and technologies. + Ability to relate effectively with a variety of people and personalities and communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. + Punctual; Ability to follow directions. + Must have troubleshooting knowledge for the usage of virtual training in Zoom and or Teams. + Knowledge of video editing techniques or applications used in multimedia production, a plus. + Must be willing to travel to in-person locations throughout New York City. In-person simulations require all day availability on-site during business hours. Additional Actor-facilitator Qualifications + Able to respond quickly to character feedback and guidance. + Comfortable using listening devices and receiving direction during live simulations. + Skilled in stage and/or live video performances. + Able to dress and supply appropriate attire for different scenarios. + Demonstrated experience with improvisation. + Involvement in education, training facilitation, content production, and/or training and development.
