The opportunity: We’re looking for a dedicated Learning & Quality Specialist to support the Operational Quality Assurance Team. You’ll be responsible for comprehensive coaching, quality assurance assessments and audits to identify deviations, defects and non-conformities with processes.
Core Working Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST
How you will contribute:
Conduct comprehensive quality assurance assessments and audits to identify deviations, defects and non-conformities with processes.Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues.This position reports to the Health & Risk Solutions Operations Manager of Quality Assurance and is responsible for preparing, inspecting and complying with Health Information Management’s policies and procedures.The Quality Assurance Specialist will help validate and/or develop improved standards, identify training needs, including root-cause analysis, and correction actions/recommend solutions for the Operations Department within Health & Risk Solutions.The Health Information Team is responsible for collecting, compiling, organizing, maintaining and protecting all patient health information.The Medical Intelligence Team is responsible for producing deliverables that assist in creating knowledgeable patients, advocates and researchers to align with member specific needs and conditions.The Quality Assurance Specialist verifies that each HIM & MedIntel Team Member is meeting these responsibilities.What you will bring with you:
Bachelors or High School Diploma with a minimum of 3+ years of experiencePrior Quality Assurance experience preferredSolid understanding of quality control roles, preferably in Med intel and HIM space.Detail oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Accountable for contributing to a workplace environment that fosters mutual respect, cooperation, information sharing and commitment to delivering the expected service.Broad knowledge of Health & Risk Solutions products and processes.Broad knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (IPAA) and processes.Knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations applicable to Health Information practices and processesAbility to think creatively to resolve the more complex or non-routine issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience.Ability to effectively coach, develop and motivate team member to achieve Department and SLF goalsStrong negotiation, decision making and problem solving skills and experienceAbility to develop and maintain effective, professional business relationships across all levels of the organization and external TPA administrators and customersStrong PC ProficiencyAbility to successfully meet deadlines and achieve goalsKnowledge of company computer systems and products a strong plusDo you see yourself in this role even if you haven’t checked all the boxes above? Salary Range: $50,800-$68,600
