About the Role
We are seeking a Learning Science Researcher to join our team and contribute to our mission of advancing education through research and insights. In this role, you will:
What You’ll Do
Conduct and synthesize primary and secondary research on emerging topics in education and learning (e.g., AI in education, neuroscience of learning, lifelong learning). Translate complex academic research into accessible, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to produce thought leadership pieces that showcase Pearson’s expertise. Support early-stage product development with learning science insights and user perception testing. Represent Pearson at external research convenings and strengthen our presence in the research community.What You’ll Bring
We are looking for candidates with the following skills, experiences, and qualifications:
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience in conducting research on topics at the forefront of education, learning, and work. Strong ability to translate academic findings into actionable insights for non-academic audiences. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as: Learning Science Cognitive Science/Cognitive Psychology Neuroscience Educational Psychology Organizational PsychologyDesired Criteria:
Experience applying research to inform the design of learning materials or learning technologies. Experience partnering with educational organizations, edtech companies, or government agencies. A track record of peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations.Why Join Us?

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $90,000 - $120,000.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is Employee Benefits Guide 2025.

Location and Travel
