Short Description
To provide learning therapy on an individual basis to children identified as having mild, moderate and severe reading problems. Plan appropriate instruction and meet with individual at regularly scheduled times.
To provide small group learning therapy (if applicable) to children having mild, moderate, severe reading problems. Plan appropriate instruction and meet with group at regularly scheduled times.
To make appropriate recommendations in consultation with Director and/or Manager. Meet with Manager at least once a month to discuss appropriate recommendations and program
To provide feedback to parents to discusses child’s progress on a very consistent basis
To writes summary reports of child's progress every six months
To periodically administer assessment using basic educational instruments.
Experience Required
Minimum 2-3 years teaching experience
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Certified Teacher Special Education or Masters of Reading
