Learning / Training & Development Manager - Valent North America

General Description: Plan, direct, or coordinate the training and development activities and staff of the organization. Design, implement, and evaluate training programs that enhance employees' skills and align with organizational goals. Analyze training needs, collaborate with subject matter experts, and ensure training materials meet the needs of various departments. Support employee engagement, skill development and overall performance improvement across the Valent Group Companies. Collaboration with HR Colleagues, Environmental Health and Safety, Legal and other department heads. Develop and facilitate communication and training structures that empower a partially remote, global audience to successfully embrace new initiatives. Principal Responsibilities: + Work with cross functional teams to develop training programs aligned with business objectives + Develop training content in collaboration with subject matter experts built on sound instructional design principles that engage employees, address their individual needs, learning styles, and maximize knowledge retention. + Design and create training manuals, online learning modules, videos, and other course materials, by applying best practices in instructional design. + Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to train and educate employees to enhance their performance. + Possess the ability to engage teams in person and remote. + Write and edit technical and procedural documents such as work instruction documents, standardized work, training aids, user guides and/or facilitator manuals, etc. + Continuously improve training based on participant feedback and latest trends in learning and development. Experience: + Minimum of 7 years’ experience in training and development with expertise in program design and facilitation. + 7+ years corporate training experience inclusive of designing and creating training materials or modules and using an LMS system + Proficiency with eLearning design tools and learning management systems. + Experience with SuccessFactors, ADP, and Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred. + Experience with data analytics and working across and in different information systems + Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks + Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills + Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques + Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal oriented and time-sensitive environment Education: + Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources Psychology, or related area or equivalent experience Travel: up to 10% of the time. Base Salary: The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from: $110,000 to $130,000. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Incentives: All full-time employees are eligible for an incentive program or profit-sharing program in addition to their base salary.
