Our Purpose: We pioneer the innovations that move and connect people to what matters About the role: Under general supervision, the Lease Reporting Analyst II is responsible for development, maintenance, and assistance in solution design of any lease reporting needs for the Accounting/Finance Departments. These reports are used to support financial reporting, general ledger, treasury and portfolio trust reporting. The Lease Reporting Analyst II carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization and accounting standards, as well as end-user requirements. The Lease Reporting Analyst II is also responsible for ad-hoc data retrieval or reports requested for testing and validation purposes. In addition, this position is involved in analysis and reporting on factors that affect the lease portfolio performance such as delinquency, credit losses, residual losses and lease depreciation. The Lease Reporting Analyst II is also responsible for scheduling reports and documenting information and procedures assigned and collaborating as needed to work toward achieving the overall company objectives and ensuring consistent reporting throughout the organization. Responsibilities In this role you will: Develop and maintain sophisticated lease portfolio reports Utilize data mining and spreadsheet/technical skills to develop lease reporting related to factors that affect portfolio/financial performance Employ best practices of data analysis and validation to ensure data results are accurate and consistent Participate in meetings with different teams throughout the organization to develop a solid understanding of upcoming and ongoing projects and the associated impact to financial statements Monitor for relevant changes and/or errors in lease financial performance reports and document them for clear communication Assist as needed in communicating reporting results and financial performance trends to management Work toward becoming a subject matter expert of data used behind any assigned reports Write and process ad-hoc queries/reports as needed to support testing and validation efforts as well as worklists for other departments Schedule automated reports to run on a set frequency, and perform regular error/completion checks for assigned reports Perform other duties as assigned Conform with all company policies and procedures Qualifications What makes you a dream candidate? Understand data analysis and visualization, quantitative and analytical validation methods, and various reporting techniques Understand process of automating/scheduling reports Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Proficient with data analysis and spreadsheet modeling and/or reporting Proficient with coding (SAS or SQL preferred) for data mining and transformation in a robust data warehouse environment Demonstrated quantitative skills Acute attention to detail Effective written and verbal presentation skills with an ability to communicate well with management Team player, with ability to interact collaboratively and proactively with multiple internal customers Ability to understand business issues and mapping them into quantitative questions and answers Ability and willingness to learn to recognize the connection between business needs and specific data points in a robust data warehouse environment Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities Some understanding of the metrics/accounting utilized in monitoring the performance of a leasing portfolio is required Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, MIS, or other quantitative field; degrees in non-quantitative fields considered with adequate work experience required Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, MIS, or other quantitative field preferred 3-5 years querying large multi-table datasets, data analysis, and data presentation; the qualified candidate will also be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following tools: SAS, SQL and/or Cognos, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required 3-5 years working with complex Excel workbooks preferred 3-5 years in lease portfolio analysis and/or reporting preferred What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
