Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Relay information to employees affecting leave for decisions that require policy or regulatory interpretations and ensures all leaves of absence are in compliance with applicable federal and state laws and with company policies. In addition, the incumbent administers and communicates leave policies, including Personal Leave, Military Leave, Work Injury Leave and FMLA Leave as well as state mandated leaves of absence.

Administers, facilitates and communicates leave of absence requests, including validating eligibility for leave of absence.Collects, reviews, and maintains medical certifications and protects health information as required under HIPAA, as well as determining certification extensions and FMLA approval or denial for basic leaves where designations can be clearly made within the parameters of the FMLA regulations and leave policies and procedures.Provides general assistance to employees, management and HR regarding basic leave of absence topics falling within the parameters of leave policies, procedures, and regulations.Provides customer service to employees on leave by proactively addressing employee concerns by anticipating the needs of those on leave, answering questions timely and accurately regarding leave entitlement and referral to Disability Plan Provider.Provides timely notices and coordination with HR, Safety, Employee's Leader and leave employees regarding an employees return to work and/or leave exhaustion.Collects and reviews FMLA time reported by employees to ensure it is consistent with the medical certification, and reports time accurately and timely to Payroll.Calculates and tracks leave usage and exhaustion for employees on FMLA and MLOA.Provides timely and accurate communication to HR, Payroll and Employee Leader regarding any circumstances or changes in an employees leave that impacts leave time.Ensures leave files are maintained in a manner complying with the FMLA's record keeping requirements.Stays current with state and federal regulations relating to leaves as well as changes company policies.Provide general customer service support to employees and management regarding all aspects of leave administration.Maintain a high-level of confidentiality for leave administration. Must be responsive to needs of employees and be certain that employees are given accurate leave information. Refer employee to appropriate department, when necessary.Cross-train with other functions in Compliance.Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $21.51 - $25.00 Hourly

Qualifications: What you need to bring

2 years' related experience with leave of absence administration required.Familiar with FMLA and state regulations required.Associate's degree in related field or equivalent related experience required.Bachelor's degree preferred.Must be familiar with leave of absence processing, rules and regulations.Must possess excellent customer service skills.Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.Must possess high attention to detail.Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
