Responsibilities Processes employee requests for Family and Medical Leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA). This includes determining employee eligibility, employee notice and medical certification. Notify employees of their rights and responsibilities under FMLA. Notify employees of their eligibility and approval/denial for FMLA in writing. Determine paid time (PTO, holiday, historical vacation or sick time) under FMLA due to employee and directs Payroll to process, if applicable. Upholds the confidentiality of all medical records and treatment at all times. Maintains employees’ health coverage while on FMLA, if applicable and collects employee monthly payroll deductions for health coverage, if applicable. Contacts appropriate management staff regarding employee request and approval/denial of FMLA. Notifies manager of employees return to work and locates position that is equivalent, if necessary upon employees return. Processes other requests for leaves of absences for employees, which include a six-week medical leave of absence, to qualified employees in accordance with procedures defined above in FMLA duties. Monitors Intermittent Family Medical Leave of Absence for employees. This includes determining employee eligibility, employee notice and medical certification. Notifies employees of their rights and responsibilities under Intermittent FMLA. Notifies employees of their eligibility and approval/denial for INT FMLA in writing. Tracks the time used within the 12 month and keeps employees advised of time expiring or when recertification is needed. Processes employee requests for Military Leave of Absence. This includes determining employee eligibility, employee notice and proper documentation. Notifies employees of their rights and responsibilities under the law and Woods Services policy. Monitor the status of the employee and assists in returning them back to work upon their return from active duty. Facilitates the interactive process under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This includes, but limited to, determining the eligibility, providing proper documents, ensuring documents are received in a timely manner, and communicating with Management staff. Presents overview at new hire orientation, which includes fielding questions and monitoring return of required employee sign-off documents. Maintains effective and professional working relationships with all co-workers, management and staff at all times. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred, HS diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 5 years leave administration experience in a high volume environment required. Must be detailed orientated and have excellent computer and organizational skills. Must be able to deal with diverse people in a pleasant manner in a very busy atmosphere. The ability to work with other human resource disciplines and be helpful and collaborative is required. Position is on-site in Langhorne, PA.
