Job Description

Hybrid Position - The ideal candidate must live in Roswell, GA or the surrounding area.

The purpose of this position is to lead the full leave of absence cycle within the guidelines of federal, state and company policies.

Determine, track, and administer eligibility for leave of absence based on State, Federal, Canadian and company policies, including approving or denying requested leave of absencesCoordinate and submit all PTO and leave pay requests for team members on leave of absence, including benefit billing and collectionsCalculate loss PTO for individuals returning from leave of absenceProvide support and guidance to business partners, managers, and team members regarding leave of absence related questionsAdminister and monitor all work-stay ADA accommodations and religious accommodationsComplete records of employment for all Canadian team members on leave, as well as waiver of benefit premium documents for Canadian team membersCoordinate team member paid STD & LTD, State STD with 3rd party vendors or State administratorsTerminate team members who are non-compliant or those in which an accommodation cannot be met after going through the ADA process.Provide legal team with any information about a leave of absence that is needed for Department of labor claims, EEOC, or any other legal claims that may arise regarding a leave of absence case, including participating in depositions if necessaryMaintain documentation and reporting for ADA accommodations in accordance with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) guidelines and document SOPsModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferredSHRM or HRCI credential preferredMinimum 2 years’ of leave of absence experience requiredElevated knowledge of leave of absence policies and procedures, including State, Canadian, and company policiesAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly while escalating higher tier issues to management or legal department when appropriateAbility to embrace technology, as well as utilize and transact in HR systems, portals, knowledgebase and case managementAbility to lead, train, motivate and act as a resource for other team members within the departmentAbility to document processes and provides process improvement ideasAbility to contribute to improving HR services, procedures, and processes to elevate employee satisfactionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to show compassion and empathy for others
