The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Administering and supporting Weis Markets associate qualified leave of absence programs such as employer paid short-term disability, FMLA and long-term disability.
Act as liaison between associates, payroll and leave of absence vendor for the purposes of determining leave eligibility under state and federal laws and organizational policies.
Administration of leave requests and accommodation requests in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws and short-term and long-term disability plans.
Maintain a deep understanding of all company policies and governmental regulations and laws related to leave of absence to advise associates on processes, policies, and documentation requirements.
Maintain benefits premium deductions for associates on leave in coordination with vendors.
Assist with department projects as assigned.
Prepare and track various weekly and monthly reports.

Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus two (2) years of administrative, customer service, or call center experience in an office environment (Preferred).
Leave of Absence Experience: two (2) years (Preferred)
Experience with Workday Benefits Administration: one (1) year (Preferred).
