As a **Leave Specialist** in **Melbourne, FL, Dearborn, MI or Houston, TX** , you’ll be a part of creating and delivering amazing customer experiences, while also enjoying the satisfaction of being part of a unique culture **What You’ll Be Doing** The Leave Specialist will be the primary point of contact for all employee leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those falling under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Personal Leaves of Absence (LOA). **During a Typical Day, You’ll** * Administer the leave request for ADA, FMLA and Personal LOA requests, communicating effectively with the employee and supervisors/managers. * Provide instructions to employees, managers and others on leave policies, procedures, and processes from the staff member’s initial notice to the return-to-work. * Assess and determine eligibility for leave, medical certifications/re-certifications, and duration of leave requested. * Gather and complete all company required paperwork needed. * Notify employees of accommodation and/or leave decisions, status updates, and implications on pay and benefits. * Maintain accurate and confidential internal leave management databases (i.e., tracking sheets, medical certifications, Legal review, return to work logs, etc.). * Complete monthly leave reporting on time and accurately, submitting to the Employee Relations (ER) Manager for final review and submission. * Partner with Legal and to interpret policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to employees, managers and People Innovation (PI) team. * Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). * Oversee the return-to-work process (fitness for duty certification) for staff members returning from extended leave, maintaining reasonable communication between manager and employee to facilitate a smooth and timely return-to-work. * Draft and/or recommend revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. * Perform other related duties as required and assigned. **What You Bring to the Role** * Associate or Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or related field. * 3 years of experience in a Human Resource related field required; two years in a Human Resources generalist role with benefits experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of FMLA regulations, compliance requirements, and knowledge of other leave laws and regulations, such as ADA and PWFA. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism. * Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation. * Excellent problem-solving capabilities and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines. **What You Can Expect** * Competitive Salary with Incentives * Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance * Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) * 401(k) with company match * Vacation/Sick Time and Paid Holidays * Tuition Reimbursement * Employee Assistance Program * Employee Discount Program * Training and Development Programs (Percepta College) * Employee Rewards Program (Perci Perks) **A Bit More About Your Role** Percepta provides the equipment for this position. **About Percepta** Established in 2000, Percepta has contact centers across the globe that proudly deliver a frictionless customer experience to our clients.
