Location: We support US flexible working arrangements in the contiguous 48 states.

The opportunity: Are you seeking an opportunity to manage leave claims and ensure compliance with regulations? We’re looking for a dedicated Leave Specialist to handle claims with the guidance and support of a Senior Manager. You’ll be responsible for reviewing and investigating claims, identifying needed resources and ensuring timely and accurate communication. You’ll navigate state, federal and local regulations to determine eligibility and benefits for FMLA, PFL, ADA, and other leave programs.

Core Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST

How you will contribute:

Maintain and manage claims data-you’ll keep claim data organized and up to date in our online systems, ensuring everything is accurate and accessible.Investigate leave claims-using your communication skills you’ll gather crucial information on FMLA, PFL, ADA, and other leave claims by contacting claimants, employers, supervisors, and physicians.Ensure fair and accurate claim decisions-you’ll review claims and make informed decisions in line with federal, state, and local regulations while meeting productivity and quality standardsUse resources to assess risk-you’ll use medical and vocational resources to evaluate claims and escalate or transfer them when necessary, ensuring timely and appropriate handling.Document and communicate claim outcomes-you’ll document decisions and communicate results clearly to claimants, employers, and other stakeholders.Provide timely notifications-you’ll ensure claimants and employers are notified promptly using their preferred communication methods.Coordinate return-to-work plans-you’ll work with vocational rehabilitation consultants to help claimants return to workFacilitate workplace accommodations-you’ll collaborate with employers, health care providers and consultants to ensure client employees and claimants receive the accommodations they need.Continue your professional development-you’ll have the opportunity to participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and grow in your role and career.

What you will bring with you:

Ability to work with a diverse range of people.Experience with FMLA and/or PFL-At least 1 year of hands-on experience with FMLA and/or PFL with proven success in resolving various issues related to these leave types.Problem solving skills-you’re skilled in analyzing situations, thinking critically and coming up with effective solutions to complex problems.Regulation expertise-you can confidently interpret and explain FMLA, PFL, ADA and other leave regulations, helping others navigate these policies.Adaptability-you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changes in the organization, department and industry.Meeting performance goals-you consistently meet or exceed performance metrics, showing a strong commitment to quality and productivity.Effective communication-you communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.Strong Math and Analytical Skills-your solid mathematical and analytical abilities help you make informed decisions and complete tasks accurately.Team Player with Independence-you can work independently and also collaborate effectively within a team, contributing to a positive work environment.Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills-you interact well with people and know how to provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.Prioritization and Organization-you have strong time management skills, are highly organized, and can multitask and prioritize work duties and projects.Tech-Savvy-you’re proficient with computers and are comfortable working in a PC environment, using MS Word, Excel, and email systems.Professional Collaboration-you work effectively with coworkers, clients, claimants, vendors, and other stakeholders, always maintaining a professional demeanor.

Salary Range: $52,500-$70,900

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience.  In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
