The Honors College Cross-Cultural Competency (CCC) course is a foundational 1.0 credit (ten-week) course required of all students at the Honors College-New Brunswick, helping to define the College’s community, culture, and student outlooks. The course is offered through over thirty sections offered equally in both the fall / spring semesters. Instructors are an important part of the Honors College educational community and will work with a Course Coordinator and participate in a collective course planning workshop. The CCC is built around a team-based approach and Instructors are expected to learn from each other as well as the experiences of their own students. Instructors will develop a student-centered community focused on fostering respectful engagement and intentional conversations about race, gender, class and culture among first-year entering students of the Honors College.

The course meets ten times, 80 minutes per session, during ten weeks of each semester. It is a credit-bearing course that is graded pass-fail (PA/NC).
