The Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University (http://www.binghamton.edu/biology/) invites applicants for a Lecturer position with expertise in microbiology. Principal responsibilities will be the instruction of large-enrollment pre-health microbiology courses as well as other courses that support the biology curriculum. Responsibilities also include assisting in the preparation of materials for the microbiology laboratory courses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student-centered teaching and align with the college's mission (https://www.binghamton.edu/harpur/) . The appointment will begin on September 1, 2025, and is for up to three years, with the potential for subsequent renewal.

Requirements:
+ PhD in Microbiology, or related field, by August 18, 2025
+ Expertise in Microbiology and/or health sciences
+ Experience teaching, or assisting in teaching, at the college level
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in teaching, or assisting in teaching, Microbiology and/or health-related biological sciences classes
+ Experience in teaching, or assisting in teaching large enrollment undergraduate courses
+ Familiarity with alternative and innovative instructional methods
