Posting Details Job Title Lecturer of Engineering Management & Systems Engineering (Non-Tenure Track) Department ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT Position Number F1080A Job Description The Department of Engineering Management & Systems Engineering ( EMSE ) at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a Lecturer that will contribute to the growth and development of current graduate programs beginning July 25, 2025. This is a 10-month annual appointment with opportunities for summer teaching. Responsibilities will include: + Participation in planning and developing new graduate-level courses. + Teaching new graduate-level courses. + Collecting and analyzing data related to programmatic needs and outcomes. + Help coordinate some of the department’s degree programming and curriculum development. + Mentoring or advising master’s and doctoral students. Faculty in the EMSE department collaborate in interdisciplinary groups and with individuals in industry and government to develop programs. Minimum required level and type of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities + Experience teaching Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or related courses in an academic setting. + Demonstrated knowledge and experience in areas such as risk analysis, operations research, operations management, systems analysis and design, or related areas in the Engineering Management Body of Knowledge.
