The Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Department at Bronx Community College of The City University of New York seeks to hire a lecturer to teach courses in Nursing. The Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Department offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing. The lecturer position leads to a certificate of continuous employment (CCE). Responsibilities include teaching selected Nursing courses, participation in clinical orientation, and duties as assigned to maintain ACEN accreditation. The Nursing Department is seeking a lecturer who has experience and a commitment working effectively with diverse student populations, faculty, and staff. **Must be available to teach days, evenings and weekends depending on program needs.**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An earned bachelor's degree in Nursing or related health care discipline for appointment as a Lecturer. Candidates licensed as an RN in any state of the United States for a minimum of two years are welcome to apply with the understanding that they must have attained their New York State licensure at the time of hire. Currently holds a registered and active nursing license in good standing in New York State. Ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution and the department. Experience with online teaching and a demonstrated experience with online learning. Ability to communicate effectively with students for advisement and mentoring.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
An earned master’s degree in Nursing or related health care discipline is strongly preferred. Minimum of two years of teaching experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics, and Mental Health Nursing. Experience teaching in an Associate Degree Nursing Program and/or Practical Nursing Program. Experience with program assessment and accreditation coordination. Knowledgeable in the ACEN accreditation process. Experience with the integration of technology in teaching is desired. Experience with curriculum and course development for a nursing program.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Salary Range:
$81,466 - $92,878
