What the day will look like
In leading our newly developed legal, healthcare policy, and compliance solution team, the Health Solutions Compliance, Policy, and Regulatory Leader will shape, build, and lead a team responsible for the three critical functions as well as lead one of the verticals:
Compliance & Regulatory Consulting - A team of highly knowledgeable and specialized healthcare lawyers providing guidance and consulting services to employers of all sizes.
Policy – A team focused on understanding the health care policy landscape to anticipate potential legislative actions and the impact on Aon Health Solutions and its clients.
Compliance Center of Excellence – A focused team of compliance and data experts who both build and deliver compliance solutions to clients. Including testing, reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
The Health Solutions Compliance, Policy, and Regulatory Leader is responsible for Aon Health’s legal consulting expertise, healthcare policy and compliance solutions to our internal consulting teams and our clients. This role will report directly to the Innovation and Integrated Solutions Leader. The Innovation and Integrated Solutions (IIS) team is a group of thought leaders, subject matter experts, and solution developers, that work with internal and external clients to bring critical healthcare expertise across pharmacy, wellbeing, clinical, leave and legal fields to improve health, performance and wellbeing of their people and organization.
+ Build and Lead compliance and regulatory consulting team, policy team, and compliance COE bringing marketing differentiated regulatory advice and solutions to Aon clients.
+ Drive revenue growth to the compliance function, including identifying new solutions and delivery of solutions and advisory services.
+ Partner with Go-To-Market leader on commercialization and branding of legal advisory consulting and compliance related solutions and services.
+ Bring thought leadership internally and externally on legislative and regulatory considerations that impact employers and employer-sponsored health plans.
+ Partner with other IIS, analytics, and health solutions leaders and subject matter experts to consult internally on legal components on related areas of expertise such as pharmacy, well-being, leave, etc..
+ Advocating, as necessary, for legislative and regulatory initiatives that support the Health Solutions practice and its clients.
+ Collaborating with Health Solutions commercial leaders to develop new solutions for clients in response to regulatory and legislative initiatives.
+ Serve as a leader with a point of view in the market to showcase Aon’s expertise in the health care arena.
+ Models a “one-firm” mindset at all times.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Fifteen plus years of experience of healthcare related legal and regulatory consulting.
+ A member in good standing of any US state bar association
+ Proficient and knowledgeable on ERISA, HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act and other key benefits and healthcare related legislation
+ Knowledgeable about Health Consulting capabilities and the connection to the US regulatory environment
+ Proven track record of building long-term and service-oriented relationships with clients
+ Outstanding communication skills to convey compelling messages across all levels
+ Leads via influence, driving change through trust and engagement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $275,000 to $330,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance.
