An opportunity has arisen for a 4 -10 years PQE English qualified Lawyer to join the Legal Affairs Department in FCE Bank plc.
Essential:
Qualified UK Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of between 4 and 10 years PQE (guide only – other PQE will be considered for the right candidate).Experienced in commercial and technology outsourcing in the Banking sector, with a thorough knowledge of relevant PRA and EBA regulation, DORA, Data Privacy etc.Experience of working in private practice or (preferably) in-house in the Banking sector.Experience in asset finance (motor finance would be an advantage).A self-motivated professional with a focused problem-solving mentality.Skilled at leading and managing multiple transactions.Pragmatic approach to problem-solving,Willingness to take on responsibility and the confidence to make decisions and provide commercial advice outside your area of specialism or jurisdictional qualification.Verbal and written ability to efficiently and effectively explain complex issues concisely to management.Experienced in stakeholder management, with excellent communication skills.Confidence to engage and collaborate with colleagues from different areas of the department and all levels of management.To understand what the fair treatment of customers means and to ensure this is consistently incorporated into the role as appropriate. A strong academic background with high quality legal training.Desirable:

Advising, drafting, negotiating technology-related and other supplier contracts whether sourced from or outsourced to third party suppliers, including IT/data licencing, cloud services, software development, AI, SaaS, etc, ensuring compliance with applicable banking and other regulatory frameworks. Advising, drafting, negotiating general commercial contracts, including joint venture, white label and similar agreements with third party finance providers.Collaborating with the legal team both in and outside Europe on major UK and pan-European projects.Providing legal support to the UK Risk Department and Ford Credit Britain, supervising a seconded legal trainee in connection with the review of security held by Ford Credit Britain for UK Ford dealers, completing facility and security documentation, registering security at Companies House, preparing and negotiating Deeds of Priority and completing ancillary wholesale security related matters.Providing legal support on Banking regulatory projects, including CRD6.Collaborating with the business team to implement legal and regulatory changes.
