Legal Assistant
Aplin is supporting our downtown Edmonton client in hiring a Legal Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in the corporate commercial field, with training provided. They welcome new graduates and candidates with 1-2 years of experience.

In this role, you'll work closely with a collaborative team, assisting two lawyers. The firm is known for its strong focus on client relationships and fostering a supportive work environment. You'll be joining a team of top legal professionals in Edmonton.

The ideal candidate will have a Legal Assistant diploma, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanour.

This position offers a positive workplace, competitive compensation, benefits, RRSP matching, and standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.


Key Responsibilities:
Draft and format legal documents and correspondenceManage and organize lawyers' emails and correspondenceMaintain and organize client files and recordsSchedule appointmentsHandle billing processes and manage time entries accuratelyCommunicate with clients, lawyers, legal assistantsConduct basic legal research and gather information as neededEnsure all documents are filed on time and in compliance with legal requirementsProvide general administrative support to lawyers and legal teams
Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited legal assistant programProficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, TeamsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
