Description We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Legal Assistant with a focus on Medicaid Claims and Appeals to join a government agency. This position requires someone with extensive knowledge of the Medicaid process, familiar with the unique intricacies of Medicaid claims and appeals. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and prior experience in a legal setting (law firm, corporate, or government.) Responsibilities: + Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings. + Support the preparation and filing of Medicaid appeals and related documentation. + Engage in complex legal research and fact-finding related to Medicaid claims and appeals cases, utilizing various sources. + Draft, proofread, and modify legal documents and correspondences such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, motions, contracts, and agreements. + Maintain case files in an organized manner ensuring that all relevant and necessary information is available at a moment's notice. + Collaborate with attorneys and clients to gather necessary information for each case. + Attend meetings, hearings, and proceedings related to Medicaid claims and appeals. + Help attorneys in client communication and maintaining client relationships. Requirements Requirements: + Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or related field. + Prior experience working as a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar role, preferably with Medicaid claims and appeals. + Profound understanding of legal procedures, court proceedings, and Medicaid regulations. + Strong in legal research and administration skills. + Excellent attention to detail and organization skills. + Superior written and verbal communication abilities. + Proficiency in legal management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
