As a legal assistant on our team, you’ll handle complex tasks critical to the success of the Corporate Litigation Group. An ideal candidate will have prior litigation and an understanding of legal terminology, which will be used to provide administrative support to our attorneys and paralegals. Among other things, you’ll spend time gathering and organizing legal files, tracking and reporting data, preparing reports, correspondences and filings, and performing other administrative duties.


This is a hybrid position which will require 1-2 days a week in office at Progressive Corporate Headquarters in Mayfield, Ohio.. Candidates must therefore reside within a reasonable driving distance of Progressive Corporate Headquarters.


Must-have qualifications

High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of 2 years legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team

Preferred skills

Corporate litigation experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining highly confidential informationDetail oriented and a motivated self-starterExcellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointAbility to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software is critical

Compensation

$26.16 - $30.76/hourGainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
