Legal Assistant
Description We are offering an ongoing contract employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in the non-profit industry based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, primarily focused on legal support tasks such as contract and NDA reviews, as well as data management. This is a hybrid-remote position. Responsibilities: • Review and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to ensure all terms are met. • Provide support in the review of contracts and handle low-level contract issues. • Ensure efficient and accurate management of data. • Proactively engage in tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating a strong balance of polish and people skills. • Work in a team-oriented environment, cooperating closely with 9 attorneys and other staff members. • Take the initiative in asking questions and seeking clarity on complex issues. • Maintain a high level of organization, demonstrating the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • Foster a polite and personable working environment, contributing to the positive team culture. • Display flexibility in adapting to changing tasks and responsibilities. Requirements • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant in a non-profit organization or similar role. • Comprehensive understanding of legal terminology, regulations, and court system. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and legal research software. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Knowledge of case management procedures. • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or relevant field is preferred. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Demonstrated commitment to serving the needs of disadvantaged and underserved communities. • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
