Job Description:

Position Summary:

The legal division of Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (“Cboe” or the “Company”) is hiring a Legal Assistant. The position will work primarily from Cboe’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, but will have flexibility to work from home two to three days per week to the extent permitted under Cboe’s policies (which may be updated from time to time).

As detailed below, the legal assistant will primarily support the legal division’s corporate function. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a motivated candidate to manage important corporate legal tasks for a leading global financial services company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Maintaining and updating Cboe’s global entity management database, which includes liaising with legal personnel around the world to ensure necessary updates are identified and tracked properly.Maintaining and appropriately filing and organizing corporate records, such as officer and director appointment documentation and board minutesCoordinating with external service providers to file state annual reports and other documents.Supporting legal division attorneys in contract management matters, including facilitating execution of contracts and appropriate filing and tracking of contracts in Cboe’s contract management system.Assisting in supporting board of director meetings from time to time as needed, including compiling agendas and disseminating board materials and assisting with board meeting scheduling and logistics.Supporting routine public company compliance and governance matters under the direction of legal division attorneys.Providing meeting scheduling and logistics support, as well as other administrative support, to legal division attorneys as requested.Proofreading, updating, formatting and maintaining reports, presentations and other documents as requested.Providing other legal division support as requested (could include support with legal billing, legal division event planning or other matters).

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Highly detail-oriented

Highly organized

Ability to manage competing priorities and a diverse set of responsibilities

Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ year(s) of experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal at a corporation or law firm is required, 2+ years is strongly preferred

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Authorization to act as a notary in Illinois (or willingness to obtain such authorization)

High degree of proficiency in Adobe PDF and the Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Experience in working with corporate entity management databases, legal billing software and/or electronic information sharing portals for corporate boards of directors preferred but not required.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $55,250-$68,250. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:


 

US Geographic Differentials:

110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA 

115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA 

120%: Boston MA, Washington DC 

125%: New York City NY  

130%: San Francisco CA 


 

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
