Requisition ID :18198 Employment Type :Full Time Job Category :Legal Work Location :Davidson, NC (CSC) BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Legal Coordinator is an integral and vital part of the MSC Legal Department. The Legal Coordinator provides highly organized and efficient operational support to the Department relating to management of inbound work, coordination and completion of work assignments, and review and completion of complex documentation DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Primarily responsible for (1) managing the intake and assignment of requests for support to the Legal Department, and (2) tracking and administering assigned matters from the initial receipt through completion. • Reviewing and completing complex documentation and forms in support of internal and external compliance requirements, including gathering information from available internal and external sources and collaborating with internal departments to obtain information from subject matter experts. • Reviewing and negotiating simple contracts and agreements (e.g. NDAs, Form Contracts, etc.) under the supervision of staff attorneys and other members of the Contract Negotiation team. • Researching, compiling and summarizing data and information from the Department’s contract database and other data sources for purposes of creating and updating various internal reports. • Maintaining the internal tracking system for contracts and other matters handled by the Department. • Drafting and administering outgoing Legal Department correspondence and receiving and triaging incoming Legal Department correspondence. • Providing general administrative support for the Legal team (including the Contract Negotiation team), including filing documents and scanning/filing electronic documents. • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose. • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required QUALIFICATIONS What You Need: • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience required; • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience is required. • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general office management required. • Demonstrated ability to learn new software and technology applications • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required. • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient and ability to multi-task required. • Strong proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, DocuSign and Adobe Pro required. • Excellent time management and organizational skills required Bonus Points If You Have: • Bachelor’s degree is preferred. • Experience in Law or Paralegal Studies a plus, but not required Other Requirements: • A valid driver’s license may be required. • Position may require up to 5% of travel Compensation starting at $28 – $35 / hour dependent on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.
