POSITION SUMMARY:
The Legal Counsel, Compliance, Regulatory & Gaming under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel, Compliance, Regulatory & Gaming Operations provides advice to the company on all legal matters related to its gaming transactions. Additionally, Legal Counsel shall take direct part in all matters involving government relations and transactions. Legal Counsel shall oversee the work of each of the Paralegal and Administrator for gaming operations and regulatory and shall also provide legal assistance on special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Legal Affairs.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reports to the Senior Legal Counsel, Compliance, Regulatory & Gaming Operations, under the direction of the VP, Legal Affairs.
2. Provides legal advice, counselling, analysis, and recommendations on gaming and governmental legal issues.
3. Handles and prepares various correspondences between the Legal Department and the various Business Units of the company and Corporate Office.
4. Ensures the Company’s compliance with all gaming and government regulations and policies.
5. Drafts and reviews all related legal documents referred to the Legal Department (i.e., letters from PAGCOR and other government instrumentalities and agencies etc.)
6. Enforces and ensures compliance with Company policies on gaming and all other government regulations.
7. Recommends and/or executes management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees.

3. Contracts are prepared, reviewed and negotiated in a timely and effective manner

QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
1. Admitted to practice as a Lawyer;
2. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a law firm or in-house work;
3. Significant corporate experience, with exposure to documentation and preparation of legal documents;
4. Excellent research, drafting, and negotiation skills
5. Highly computer literate
II. Education
1. Graduate with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) from a reputable Law School.
2. Bar passer
