We are seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel with 2-5 years’ experience and a strong background in contract review and employment law to join our legal team. Job Overview: As part of the legal department, the Legal Counsel will support the full spectrum of legal services to the company with emphasis on contracting and general business activities for the United States entities. Candidates must be self-starting, hardworking, eager to learn, and demonstrate energy and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Cover Letter Preferred. Job Description: + Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial agreements including sales and service agreements, licensing agreements, service level agreements, channel partner agreements and vendor agreements to ensure clauses, terms and conditions are compliant with quality, legal, governmental, and regulatory requirements to mitigate current and future risks. + Drafting and maintaining contract templates, developing business and legal processes, and implementing internal policies to help scale the business. + Training business personnel and interacting with clients for preparation and negotiation of contract documents as well as providing guidance and practical solutions to legal matters. + Lead audits of the contract review processes. + Supporting creation and use of best practices in contract management by developing, recommending, and communicating operating policies and procedural improvements. + Providing support to Human Resources, including advising HR staff on appropriate employee-related action; developing, recommending, and communicating operating policies and procedural improvements; drafting employment policies and manuals; and other activities. + Providing general corporate advice and counsel on various matters such as corporate governance, corporate risk management issues, and labor and employment related matters. + Supporting the formulation of proposals or responses to RFPs for multi-million-dollar, multi-year contracts with Fortune 500 companies to provide solutions, best practice alternatives, and comments for managing risk. + Other jobs and duties as assigned. Minimum Education and/or Experience: + Law degree from an accredited US law school required. Georgia Bar license preferred, with admission to Georgia Bar within a reasonable time after hire required. + Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience practicing law in a creative and fast-paced environment, preferably in-house or in corporate defense. + Experience in handling voluminous contracts of varying complexity, including drafting, and negotiating, relevant documents associated with the transaction from inception through conclusion. + Experience in employment law, data privacy, corporate law, domestic and international operations and domestic and international tax law is preferred. + Experience managing small groups and working in cross functional teams is also preferred. Skills and Abilities: + Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. + Ability to adapt to conflicting ad hoc deadlines, priorities and deadline demands, controlling the daily management of multiple simultaneous tasks in a dynamic environment. + Proven critical thinking skills allowing for efficient problem solving. + Talent to anticipate and identify legal issues and propose solutions to complex situations. + Solid business acumen, and the demonstrated ability to apply that business acumen to a myriad of legal and business issues in a fast-paced multifaceted organization. + Attention to detail and the ability to ramp-up quickly in new environments and teams.
