Legal Counsel

Responsibilities:

1. Handle general corporate and commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, preparing employment documents, reviewing/localizing internal policies, conducting risk assessments.

2. Advise and guide on labor law issues and coordinate with internal and external resources in labor disputes; Advise and guide the internal business partner on all legal aspects in projects such as M&A, JV and WOFE during both transaction and execution phase;

3. Work and collaborate across different functions as the interface for M&A, JV and WOFE projects;

4. Conduct tailored in-house trainings;

5. Actively contribute assets to the internal legal knowledge management (such as templates, process, quick guides, etc.);

6. Monitor and provide guidance regarding new legal developments that may impact the business; 

7. Manage the resolution of legal disputes and external law firms.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. PRC Bar admission;

2. At least 6 years relevant major law firm and in-house experience (preferably with international exposure);

3. Solid knowledge of and sound work experience in dealing with all general commercial/corporate laws and regulations relevant in project business driven B2B environments;

4. Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills;

5. Flexible, solution-oriented, pro-active and self-motivated individual with good business acumen;

6. Good communication skills and able to work effectively with team members and cross-function partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds;

7. Experience of legal advice/support during project execution;

8. Problem solving and team work ability.
