Susquehanna Pacific Pty Limited (a member of the Susquehanna International Group of companies) is currently seeking an In-House Legal Counsel. The role is to advise on the full range of legal matters which affect its business across the Asia Pacific.
This role would be suitable for a lawyer in private practice, ideally with some financial markets experience, who is looking to make the move in-house. Alternatively, we would consider an in-house lawyer who is currently working in a financial markets role.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with other members of the Susquehanna legal team and the Susquehanna business.Manage a diverse range of legal matters which affect the business across the Asia Pacific region, including reviewing and negotiating technology, licensing, trading, brokerage, prime brokerage, execution, clearing, and other commercial arrangements.Undertake both transactional work and advice work.
What we're looking for
Holder of a current practising certificate in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, or UK.4 to 8 years’ post admission experience.Broad knowledge of corporations law and securities law. Excellent negotiation skills, and strong organization, effective planning, problem solving, and analytical skills.Ability to exhibit independent judgment when evaluating projects or assignment needs.Ability to deal confidently with senior executives and other stakeholders.Ability to work across different legal jurisdictions and time zones.Experience in the following areas (private practice or in house) would be highly regarded:sell side global markets or sell side brokerage work; andprivacy, technology, or data law.
