Job Description

Within the Tire Sector we are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel (m/w/diverse) to join our dynamic legal team in Hannover, Germany. As a key member of our Global Commercial Law Department, you will provide expert legal advice to the tire business, among others:

Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of legal mattersConduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and strategiesProvide legal support to global projectsSupport and participate in global law networks on specific fields of lawStay up-to-date with relevant legal developments and provide updates to stakeholders including senior managementIdentifying and analyzing legal risks, developing and implementing solutions to avoid, limit, or secure themDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts of all kinds in close cooperation with internal stakeholdersEnforcing claims of the group companies of the Tire Sector and defending claims made against themCommissioning and managing external law firms and legal spendDeveloping and conducting workshops and training sessions in German and English

QualificationsActive bar admission in GermanySeveral years of experience in commercial law, preferably within an international environmentStrong knowledge of German commercial law and international business lawExperience in legal support in technical product compliance /technical regulatory and/or sustainability/ESG is a plusExceptional verbal and written communication skills in both German and EnglishSuperior contract drafting and negotiation abilitiesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentStructured and analytical thinkingAbility to familiarize with new areas of law quickly
