The incumbent will be responsible for the for providing legal support and advise to Turkey market and operations. The position will report to the Legal Director- Emerging Market with matrix to General Manager: Turkey.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieving EM legal and smart goal objectives. Provide pro-active and efficient legal support and advise to support business objective and/or mitigate legal risk. Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, including standard agreements Implement distribution agreements / standard agreements and standard templates in all countries with Turkey market. Manage litigation with outside counsel and establish processes to decrease claims and court cases. Assist and advise Turkey organization on legal and compliance requirements. Support local LT to identify and mitigate legal risks. Be local champion for compliance and conduct compliance training. Building awareness for the increasing influence and impact of applicable laws, regulations, and policies Coordinate with Legal colleagues in other Businesses. Assist with corporate governance - Board secretariat and corporate filings, where necessary Capital Markets Board compliance and other regulatory compliance. Reporting and support Legal Director EM and Managing Director as required. Participate in local meetings to ensure business alignment. Actively participate in EMEA legal activities and project as required. Active participation in local and regional practice groups/ regular calls, etc. Manage legal spend at local level and manage external counsel.
Minimum Requirements and skills:
LLB or equivalent law degree, min. 8 years + attorney admission, law firm experience law firm and/or in-house counsel experience In-dept knowledge of legal framework Flexible attitude in working across multiple time zones. Agile and collaborative Act with Integrity Demonstrate ability to pro-actively seek out creative solutions to problems. Works well under time pressure. Ability to independently plan, organize and implement work priorities, and exercise independent judgment, with minimal supervision. High degree of professional ethics and integrity
